This particular Laceration was founded in 2006 and released Demo ‘08 and then Consuming Reality in 2009. Corey Toleu was on bass and Tom Martin was on drums. The band again ceased being active until the Imitation demo of 2018.

A full-length emerged in 2021. It was released through Rotted Life. Aerin Johnson joined on drums. Bay Area’s Laceration joined the ranks of 20 Buck Spin for the release of its second album, I Erode, in late July 2024.
