History & Biography The heavy metal band Lady Killer was founded in New York in 1981 and issued its sole album in 1983. It was recorded at Ranch Studio. The label had seen the band play live and signed it. The album was recorded in a mere seven days and engineered by Dave "Godzilla" Ruffo (Fandango, Mama's Pride, etc.). The model on the album’s cover was a very coveted, in-demand, sought after and lusted woman, but was deemed unapproachable due to her bodyguard. A follow-up with songs like Seducer and Bend Over Backwards, with Joe Zettl (Soulicide, Dog Starr Rider, etc.) on vocals, was also recorded, but indefinitely shelved. It was being produced by Mitch Perry of Talas and Black Sheep.
The label Heaven And Hell Records reissued Lady Killer’s self-titled debut from 1983 on CD in 2016.
