History & Biography
The band was formed in 2010. At the end of that year, Pale Horse Recordings issued the Marianas EP for the act. Drummer Bert Trejo only lasted less than a year in 2012. Battleground Records signed the Phoenix, Arizona-based death metal band in 2014 and would release the band's debut album Tyranny in September. Lago booked a tour of the West Coast of the USA for the spring of 2015 supporting its debut LP, Tyranny. The album, initially released in September 2014 through Battleground Records, saw a vinyl edition courtesy of Blood Harvest Records. Cole Jacobsen sang for Fluids between 2018 and 2020. The band announced a post-pandemic show for September 2021. The band was to begin 2023 opening a concert for Sorrower, but dropped off. The year passed without activity. Drummer Neil Koch left in 2024.

Lago signed with Everlasting Spew Records in 2025 and announced a studio album for 2026. Brian Miller returned. USA-based death metal band Lago was offering an album called Vigil through Everlasting Spew Records on the 8th of May 2026. It followed its predecessor, 2018's Sea Of Duress, by eight years.
