History & Biography
The intrepid power metal band was founded in 2009. The members met at the Music Academy of Ingesund, Arvika. Isak and Fredrik started a covers’ band at first. A 2010 demo was called Reaching Higher and depicted a Metallian Towers’ serf on its cover. Purple Sky was the next demo the year after. Bassist Björn Svensson left. The band was picked up by the Doolittle Group and a record emerged in 2013. Japan was handled by King Records. The band was singer Isak Stenvall, guitarists Fredrik Kelemen and Peter Ellström, bassist Emil Öberg and drummer Sebastian Pedernera. Second Storm was on a second label. The line-up was consistent.

Nuclear Blast signed the band in 2016 and issued a record in 2017. Ewo Solvelius had arrived. The band announced a concert in Japan and a European tour with Gloryhammer and Hammerfall.

Sweden-based Lancer had a new album, entitled Tempest, through Fireflash Records in 2023. This was the label of former Nuclear Blasters. It was available on August 11th. The band uploaded a song called Fan The Flames in advance. Pontus Andrén was on drums. Jack L. Stroem was on vocals now. The group had auditioned Christian Eriksson (ex-Twilight Force). Immediately following the departure of bassist Emil Öberg in early 2025, Lancer announced that David Lecander (Hild, etc.) has joined the act right away. Nevertheless, Lancer announced it would disband in November of 2025. Members would remain active in other bands or even form new ones.
