History & Biography
L.A.P.D. featured future members of mallcore act Korn and was a funk rock and metal outfit. The monicker was an abbreviation for Love And Peace Dude. The group had an EP by that name in 1989.

The Bakersfield, California band asked Richard Morales to leave the group due to his drug abuse and changed its name to Korn. The band’s collection of material was released posthumously in 1997.
