History & Biography Last Retch is a death metal band formed in Hamilton, Canada in 2019. Last Retch was a 2021 demo. The debut album, Sadism And Severed Heads, was released in 2022 on CDN Records. There was a video for the song Neurosis and a song called Your Last Retch on the record. The band had been active on the local live circuit, sharing stages with Canadian underground acts and participating in regional metal shows. The band played with Gutvoid in 2023. Ergotism was an EP in 2024. The band opened for Azaab, Northshroud and Burdizzo in Toronto in 2024. It had replaced Gutvoid, which had dropped out. As of 2025, the lineup remains stable, with all founding members still in place. The band Gutvoid played together again in 2025.
Last Retch signed with Time To Kill Records in 2025 and was expected to release a full-length in that year. Simultaneously, the two members in Mortuary Slab departed that act. Last Retch's second full-length album, Abject Cruelty, was released through Time To Kill Records on September 26 2025. Spencer Robson was on drums.
