History & Biography
Leather was the solo vehicle of Chastain singer Leather Leone and also featured Chastain collaborator Michael Harris on guitar. The band was formed in Cincinnati and the album was produced by David T. Chastain. II came twenty years later and was dedicated to Ronnie James Dio. Leather had an all-Brazilian crew in tow now. It may have seemed like she'd lifted her sessionists off Rob Rock or Paul Di'Anno, but the truth was that then again everyone on the scene had played with those two at some point.

Occasional Chastain singer and solo artist Leather Leone released a new album, entitled We Are The Chosen, through Steamhammer/SPV on 25.11.2022. The Brazilian musicians remained with Leather. The band announced it would appear at Keep It True Rising IV in Würzburg, Germany in October 2024. This was billed as the band playing a "Chastain set." 'Sets' were all the rage. The band was booked for Soldiers Of Steel in the USA in August of 2025. Also playing were Morgul Blade, Coven 6669 and Rope.
