History & Biography
Cluj-Napoca, Romania-based band Left Hand Path would issue its self-titled debut EP through Loud Rage in 2019. The band was founded in 2014. Three members defected and only guitarist Wagner Tamás and bassist Szenasi Attila were left. Singer Sebastian Bucătaru (Darken My Grief), guitarist Doru Nedelcu and drummer David Andor Kiss joined between 2020 and 2022. The band had an upload and lyric video called Charnel Grounds in 2025. This track, "explores the ancient Buddhist tradition of sky burial, where the deceased’s body is offered to nature’s elements on barren mountain charnel grounds."

Reviews

LEFT HAND PATH – Same – LOUD RAGE
Nominally, Left hand Path should garner a higher mark from us here at Metallian Towers, but the EP has one flaw and it is a major one. While the band’s music is brutal and quite competent and the style veers from simplistic death metal to technical arrangements that showcase how tight the young band’s delivery is the act suffers at the hands of its vocalist. The Romanian Cristian Aionese is gruff, but has little range and even less depth. His growling leaves some things to be desired. It is too bad and especially given how the band’s other musicians show flexibility and so much competence. The band nominally has a drummer, but the album is laden with a drum machine. It is lazy and too bad. With that said, this material is hardly bad and there is much that can be of interest to death metal fans. Think about Mayhem and Impaled Nazarene. Oh one more point. Also nominally this gang should sound like Entombed, but does not. Instead, the act is more along the lines of a Gorguts than anything Swedish. Left Hand Path refers to the sinister music and words. – Ali “The Metallian”
