History & Biography This Chilean band was formed in 2005 as a modern thrash act. There was a demo called First EP in 2006. The band’s first vocalist was Pablo Bascunan. Alonso Ramirez followed. A full-length demo called Frente Al Fin came in 2008. The 2011 full-length was called Last Breath. Last Breath Live At Oxido Bar was recorded in 2011 and issued independently in 2012.
Unbalance was a 2014 demo. Oath was issued in late 2015. Live Blackened Fest Russia too was issued independently in 2016. The band signed with Massacre Records and an album emerged in 2019. Juan Vejar departed in 2021. Alex Jofré of Knighthood replaced him.
The band’s name is taken from a word in the Mapudungun (a native Chilean people) language meaning ”˜fast sound.’

Lefutray is a completely unknown band to me that nonetheless managed to turn my head (bobbing up and down to the fury) with its pounding extreme metal. The group has an unremitting aggressiveness in its songs and a singer that can match the level of savagery. The repertoire is not as powerful owing to the lack of guitar leads that shred and add to the thrashy madness, but a couple do make an appearance, which sounds like primitive ”˜80s solos. Those are in Agreement of Suffering, Through Your Veins and Screaming In Silence. Lefutray is somewhere between Sepultura and late '80s Death.
