History & Biography
Several members of better-known Israeli metal bands formed Lehavoth, based in Haifa, Israel, in 1995. The group was initially a melodic Satanic band before becoming more brutal. The Brit Ha'Orvim demo appeared in 1996, military service came calling and the group went on hiatus and returned with the Iconoclastic in 2001. Keyboardist Evox was dropped in the interim. The Spew Records issued a split CD of the band with Leukorrhea and Suture in 2003. Drummer Nir also joined Leng Tche as a guitarist. Molech quit in 2004. The new man was called Ariel Conan. The group called it quits in 2005.

The group of course returned in 2014. The result was a demo called Grinder in 2016. Assaf Perelmuter was on bass and Nate Gould was the drummer. The band was playing live again after four years of silence in 2021, but went silent in 2022. Pixel and Molech performed in a Pantera tribute in 2024.

Lehavoth means ‘flames’ in Hebrew.

Reviews

LEHAVOTH - HATRED SHAPED MAN - FADELESS
This hitherto unheard of band is a good one. The band is variously described as grinding, industrial or black metal, although the truth is closer to death metal. The band has an apocalyptic vision running through its vein and an exploding music crammed with violence and anger. Things are usually stop-and-go, but can get all out blasting. The sound is good and the fury devastating. The CD also features a video for the song Non Civilized. - Ali "The Metallian"
