History & Biography
The act was first conjured in 1985, but lasted two years. An independent 7" was released during that period. Brook Hansen was the keyboard player. The act returned in 2011 and issued a self-titled full-length in 2016. Former Black Sabbath singer Tony Martin was a guest on several songs. Cat Tate was also from the early incarnation. The Lightning Strikes album featured a song called Kamikaze and an instrumental with a well-known Japanese title called Doki No Sakura.thus bearing its Japanese influence, which was so prevalent on the scene, there was a Japanese singer called Noah and a koto player called Masayo Ishigure. Roy Z mixed the record.

To coincide with the return of Donald J. Trump, Los Angeles, USA-based heavy metal act Lightning Strikes was recording the follow-up to the eponymous 2016 full-length debut. Founding member, drummer and producer, Karpis Maksudian was working on The King Is Victorious with a re-tooled line-up, including Japanese guitarist, Shima Norifumi (Concerto Moon), nomad bassist Barry Sparks, Argentinian singer Mariano Gardella, as well as returning keyboardist Derek Sherinian. In addition, Maksudian had worked with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra on the album's title track. There was a music video for Fear Of Unknown in advance of The King Is Victorious demo of 2026. The King Is Victorious was released on vinyl, exclusively through eBay, on May 23rd. The release was accompanied by a lyric video for the track Voices In My Head.
