History & Biography
The Stockholm-based act came into life in 2014 and issued a demo called Behold The Beheaded. War Anthem of Germany signed the band and issued Mass Funeral Evocation. A split single with Uncanny followed. Bassist Mathias Blom came and went. Sweden-based death metal band Lik signed a deal with Metal Blade in 2018. The band’s album would be released in May. Tomas joined Bloodbath as a touring guitarist in 2019. The same year brought a rehearsal/live single called Sthlm Death Metal. Bassist Joakim "Myre" Antman joined in 2019. The band was playing sporadic shows in 2022, a cruise and had a tour with Mass Worship.

The group was booked for Summer Breeze festival 2025. Lik had a fourth long player, called Necro, through Metal Blade Records in April 2025. A song called War Praise was uploaded in advance. There was a video for the song Deceased. A release show featured openers Grand Cadaver and Baest. Lik announced it would be touring Europe in support of its latest record, Necro, in the spring of 2026. Drummer and founding member Chris Barkensjö left the band. Waltteri Väyrynen from Opeth stepped in for a couple of upcoming live shows.

Lik stands for ‘corpse’ in Swedish.
