History & Biography
Liturgy is a black/death metal band that existed briefly between 2003 and 2004. Mike Bailey's own Unmatched Brutality Records released the act’s album and the group disappeared. Matti Way would take over Unique Leader Records later. Way and Engman would start up a band called Liturgy A.D. in 2015.

The band returned as of 2019. The drummer was Eddy Hoffman who did not stay. As such, the band hit three cliches at the same time: all bands must reform, no one can commit to a band and must be in multiple projects simultaneously and members cannot stay in one band. The members are nearly all active in Brodequin. Debut album producer Tim Bleske also produced Brodequin. Drummer Brennan Shackelford (Brodequin, Reviled, etc.) stepped in after Hoffman’s departure. The band was recording in 2023. An album title The Genesis Race was announced earlier.

The Baileys are brothers.
