History & Biography
After 13 years of touring, supporting bands like King Diamond, Motörhead, Slayer or U.D.O., Liv Jagrell's previous rock band Sister Sin called it quits suddenly in 2015. Liv Jagrell - also previously a personal trainer who worked at a veterinary clinic - had a new band, called Liv Sin, in 2016. She also began calling herself 'Liv Sin.' The band released its debut album, entitled Follow Me, in 2017. U.D.O.’s Fitty Wienhold and Stefan Kaufmann engineered the record. Schmier of Destruction offered guest vocals as the bands shared management. The band followed up the release with touring and festival appearances, including Gefle Metal Festival, later releasing an acoustic EP, Inverted. Before the EP, there was a video for the song King Of The Damned, which was in cooperation with the Swedish Animal Rights organisation Djurens Rätt to drive awareness of the crime of trophy hunting. Drummer Per Bjelovuk left in 2018, but returned in 2020. He did make a quick appearance in 2019 however. The band was billed at Sabaton Open Air 2019.

The second album, Burning Sermons, was produced by Deathstars' guitarist Emil Nödtveidt. Jagrell announced that Liv Sin was "taking a little bit of a break" as Chris Bertzell and Tommie Winther had left. Simultaneously, Sister Sin did the traditional reformation. The group did return in 2020 and 2023's KaliYuga veered to metalcore. The album was preceded by a single called Antihero. The band was invited to tour Spain. The band covered Deathstars' Synthetic Generation in advance of touring with the act.

Sweden-based metalcore and metal band Liv Sin had an album called Close Your Eyes through Seek & Strike on August 8th, 2025. The rule of the scene required guests to be present and Liv Sin hired Lars Palmqvist from Scar Symmetry. Girlschool, Alcatrazz, Liv Sin, Prins Svart and others were booked for the Rock At Sea cruise of November of 2025. Swedish gigs were booked for late 2025 and early 2026.

Liv Jagrell and Per Bjelovuk are married. The band runs a Patreon to raise funds.
