History & Biography
When Lord Tim discontinued Dungeon in 2005 he carried on using the Lord name, which had been his solo project. Dungeon drummer Tim Yatras also joined the heavy metal act. A Personal Journey preceded this and featured older material.

Ascendence had a fuller line-up. Modern Invasion also issued a limited edition box set with live material for this record. Mav Stevens, who was Tim’s cousin and also in Simon Polhill with him, had played on the live record. The 2008 Hear No Evil EP contained a Kylie Minogue cover version. Second guitarist Mark Furtner debuted here. Yatras, who had injured himself, left in 2009, but would session with the band in the future. Drummer Damian "Damo" Costas had remained for five years.

The act switched to Dominus Records, which was Lord Tim’s imprint. The 2010 EP, Return Of The Tyrant, was full of odds and ends including more cover versions. The band was essentially on hiatus until returning with Digital Lies in 2013. Damian Costas was on drums. Another one of the filler EPs was 2014’s What Tomorrow Brings. It looked backwards at a bunch of cover versions. Drummer Damian Costas departed in 2014. The band went from cover versions to self-cover versions in 2016. The record was called A Personal Journey: Revisited. Live At ProgPower USA XVII of 2017 was recorded in 2016. A Darryl Murphy was the drummer. Lord travelled to Indonesia to play at Hammersonic festival in 2017.

The band’s line-up remained steady. Chaos Raining was a 2020 EP. Blood Red Skies was a 2022 EP. It featured more cover versions. It followed 2021 Undercovers Vol. 1, which was a cover versions’ compilation.
