History & Biography
Hard rock/rock band Lords Of The Trident calls itself “the most metal band on Earth” and was founded by college students in 2008.The band is both tongue-in-cheek and deliberately comic and should not be taken seriously. The description, titles and imprint name tell the tale. A Very Lords Of The Trident Christmas was a 2013 EP. Lords Of The Trident went retro and released a Sega CD game. The game was for the song Chasing Shadows and came twenty years after the demise of the format. Pull The Plug (An Acoustic Metal Album) was a self-cover version release in 2019. The band returned to the same well for 2020’s Power Outage. The group booked locally for another Mad With Power Festival in 2019. The singer was part of a charity project called Darian And Friends in 2022.

The group was booked for the Hyperspace festival in 2023. The band and Seven Spires were booked for a tour of Japan in December 2024. Lords Of The Trident had an EP, called V.G.E.P. (Video Game EP), on October 1st 2024. Every track took inspiration from the band's favourite video games. The EP was at first an exclusive release for the act’s Patreon supporters. There was a music video for the track To Kill A God where the act sent charges of electricity through its drums and drummer Master Hercule Schlagzeuger. Bridear was touring Europe in March and April 2025. The Into the World Forever tour featured opener Lords Of The Trident.

The band collects funds on Patreon and through virtual concerts. The persona and mythology is a cross between Manowar and Gwar. Junko Johnson is the act’s imprint.
