History Swiss thrash metal has not been anything other than a curiosity, let alone Swiss thrash with humour. Nonetheless, such a band existed beginning in 1988. The brothers Rene and Dirk founded lunacy. Following an initial demo and a follow-up (called Landscape Of Insanity - see a theme developing here?) in 1989 the band issued a MCD called Suffering. Many shows were performed including opening for Coroner and Sodom. Two full-lengths followed. A full-length demo called N.I.N.E. was also independently released in 2004 after years of silence. The group’s sound at this stage was more progressive. The group’s new singer was a Bozsek in 2000. Ribi of Ex-Ortation replaced Nick later.
