History & Biography The band came together in 2015. Ancient Force was a 2016 demo. Guitarist Porphyrios left. Egyptophile black metal unit Maahes had a lyric video for the title track of its 2020 debut album, Reincarnation, which was distributed by MDD. Anubis left in 2023. The band released another album in 2025 and played live. The band was at Woid Weyd Metal Festival in 2026.
The group’s monicker referred to the Egyptian god of war, which was depicted as a lion. The band's image has the act appear live as mummies.
