History & Biography
In 2015 Ván Records was issuing the sophomore album from Greek pagan 'black metal' band, Macabre Omen. The album was called Gods Of War - At War. The band was Greek-oriented, but was actually based in England now. Macabre Omen was founded by Alexandros and Mournful in August of 1994. A 1994 demo was called Secrets Of The Moonlight, while the 1995 output was called Before Darkness... The 1996 demo was called Olympus. A split with Godblood of Cyprus had followed. The group became a solo project at this juncture as Mournful left the bass position in 1998. An official full-length debut appeared in 2005. It was called The Ancient Returns. Session drummer Gionata Potenti added this band to his lengthy resume as well. Fourteen Years Standing Proud In Valhalla was a split single for the band and Nachtfalke. Anamneses was a compilation and released in 2020.
