History & Biography The band was founded in 2014. 2015 brought the Malacoda demo. Set to release its new demo Ritualis Aeterna on December 2nd 2016, Canadian “horror inspired symphonic power metallers” (read: goth and hard rock) Malacoda had a music video for the first single Penny Dreadful. Rockshots Records issued Canada-based horror-oriented band Malacoda’s Restless Dreams album in October 2018. The album delivered a musical experience inspired by the horror video game Silent Hill 2. Michael Farina and Daniel Alonzi were new as of 2017. Bassist Zak Stulla joined Lucas in 2019.
Drummer Michael Farina was the drummer on Restless Dreams and The Year Walk demo from 2021. He left, but rejoined in 2023. In the meantime, new members joined in 2019/2020 and were out soon. These included guitarist Wes MacDonald and drummers Victor Boechat and Kabir Ahmed. Lucas expressed dissatisfaction with the new recruits except for Zak Stulla. All the same, a guitarist called Keith Giofu was added. The act also introduced a new logo. The band, Northshroud and Nervcast, played a concert in Toronto in 2023. Carpe Noctem was a 2024 demo and the act disbanded to begin the year. The band claimed they achieved everything they wanted to achieve.
