History & Biography
The French heavy metal band Malediction was formed in the Picardy region of northern France in September, 1997. Guitarist Francois left to Yyrkoon in 1999. The band issued a five-track demo in 1999 and obtained a contract with Brennus Records. The debut featured a scary cover artwork, scarier titles and an ADX cover version. The proposed Coups De Metal 2002 tour alongside Nightmare was cancelled. Nicolas Mollard left in 2003. The band had switched labels and drummers for the second album however.

The group officially announced it is splitting as of August 18th, 2007. Mathieu Poulain died in 2014.
