History & Biography
There was a folk metal act called Nunca Seremos Dichosos between 2013 and 2021. The band had a release called Kollong in 2019, which contained a track named Mawiza Ñi Piwke. The new name band issued a couple of collaborations before releasing a self-cover version demo of Nunca Seremos Dichosos material called Kollong. There was a short documentary on the band and its use of a native language in 2023.

Chile-based metalcore and thrash metal act Mawiza’s next record was called Ül ('chant') and released on July 18th 2025. There were videos for the songs Wingkawnoam and Mamüll Reke. The group was invited to play at Rocl Al Parque 2025 in Colombia.

The band sings in Mapuzungun, which is their ancestral language.
