History & Biography
The band was founded by Peter Andersson in 2006. The monicker was inspired by Y&T’s Mean Streak album. Thomas "PLEC" Johansson joined in 2012. Founder Andersson often engineers the band’s music. Sweden-based heavy metal band Mean Streak signed a worldwide management deal with Rock’N’Growl Management/Promotion in late 2015. The band completed the recording for its new demo, called Blind Faith, with Peter Andersson, Andy LaGuerin and Thomas Johansson at The Panic Room. The disc was produced by Peter Andersson and Max Norman and mixed by Max Norman.

Sweden-based Mean Streak signed a three-album deal with Japanese label Marquee/Avalon. Mean Streak's first release through the label was due to be released on May 31, 2017. The new album Blind Faith had at least 12 songs and included one Japan-only bonus track. HighVolMusic issued the album in USA in June while ROAR Rock Of Angels Records handled Europe. Sweden-based heavy metal band Mean Streak signed a multi-album deal with ROAR! Rock Of Angels Records. The band was in the studio to record its album for a release in early 2019. Instead, Eye Of The Storm appeared on El Perto Records in July of 2020. Guitarist Eriksson, who had joined in 2018, left in 2021. The band split up in February of 2022. Guitarist David Andersson died later that year.
