History & Biography
Edinburgh, Scotland-based Medusa Touch was active between 1982 and 1990 and again from 2019. Gogsy had ended his tenure with punk band Threats and was jamming with Joe Gardner. Simultaneously, drummer Mike Murray and bassist John Allison were jamming. These two duo met through a local paper advertisement to become Medusa Touch.

Obscure NWOBHM Releases issued the Terror Eyes: The Anthology in 2019. The music stemmed from the 1980s, but a couple of tracks were taped more recently. The band had had a dozen line-up changes with members coming and members going. Singer Colin joined in 1983 and only then a name was picked, but guitarist Gordon "Gogsy" Sinclair took over in 1985. Joe left in late 1984 and was replaced by Colin Stewart. The latter man would switch to bass a year later.

The return coincided with the release of the sampler and was utilizing Gogsy’s cover version band members since 2013. Scotland-based NWOBHM act Medusa Touch returned with a single called Asylum, which was taken from an upcoming album called Insaniteyes through Devil’s Clause Records in 2022. The single referred to asylum seekers seeking to enter the UK. The band played a show with Airforce. The band was booked for the Coalville Metal Invasion 2023. The group was booked for Metal 2 The Masses in Scotland and several other concerts in 2024.
