History & Biography
Japan-based Mell Rose or メルローズ (occasionally stylized as Mell-Rose or MellᐧRose) was a hard rock act from Yokohama that was founded in 1987. The 1989 demo was called Hard Rock Revolution 1st Demo Tape. The vibrato and mezzo-soprano vocals of ex-D'erlanger singer Kaoru were a highlight again on the band’s sole EP, which arrived next. It was called Slight Difference and released through the upstart Colosseum label. This featured the addition of keyboardist Kamio. The band appeared on Japanese television, gigged around the country and disbanded in 1990.
