History & Biography
Obviously betrothed to Tolkien and his Lord Of The Rings, the band was assembled in Frankfurt An Der Oder in 1997. A demo called First Battle appeared a year later. It was followed by The Dark Age Of Revelation soon. The 2000 demo was entitled Das Dunkle Reich Des Paganlords. Most titles and lyrics were in German.

Aural Attack released the group’s debut in 2002. The band was touring Germany in the summer and autumn of 2019. Keyboardist Jen, bassist Janko Jentsch and vocalist Robert "Robse" Dahn left in 2021. Robse was criticised by the band and lasted two years.Rene Berthiaume of Equilibrium contributed to Heimkehr.

Nebelung, the 2023 album by Minas Morgul will be released through Trollzorn Records in June. The band featured guitarist Alboin who was responsible for bass, keyboards, guitars, some vocals and production and vocalist Stef who was a guest singer on the band’s previous album, Heimkehr. The act was a quartet now. The band was booked for Godless Mountain Open Air with Obscurity and Wolfszeit festival alongside Dark Funeral and Carpathian Forest.

Aside from being the stronghold of the Nazgûl, Minas Morgul was a 1995 album by Summoning. Metal fans should approach Minas Morgul with caution not only because it is the den of evil, but because musically too it has keyboards, flute and a guest cello player! Could it be they are looking to defeat Sauron by making him beat a hasty retreat after they weaken him through melodious mellow melodies?
