History Somewhere in western Norway lies a port called Bergen. Somewhere in Bergen in 1991 formed a band called Molested (as Purgation) to play death metal. The Stalk The Dead (1991) and Unborn Woods In Doom (1993) demos followed. The group signed with Effigy/Arctic Serenades of Norway and issued its debut in 1995. A 1996 EP was called Stormvold. The EP was actually recorded in 1995 and was reissued on vinyl in 2009 by Galgenstrang Produktionen. The year 1997 was when the band quit. A second record for Spanish label Repulse was thus aborted. Repulse had, in fact, issued a press release and band biography for the assumed second record.
Garnes-based Brun found relatively more fame in Borknagar, which he founded while in Molested.
