History & Biography Moonlight Haze was founded by singer Chiara Tricarico and drummer-cum-piano man Giulio Capone in 2018. The latter had several songs and invited the former to collaborate. Apparently, they needed to be in a minimum of half a dozen projects at the same time. The duo recruited acquaintances and former band-mates. The band mixed pomp rock with hard rock.
The band signed with the native Scarlet Records and issued a single and lyric video for The Butterfly Effect in 2019. Ad Astra was the next upload. The songs were on the debut album, which was called De Rerum Natura. The band appeared at the Winds And Woods Meet Metal Festival in Germany. Italy-based hard rock band Moonlight Haze would release a new album, entitled Animus through Scarlet Records on 18.03.2022.
Moonlight Haze re-signed with Scarlet Records at the end of 2024 and was to release a new record, called Beyond, through the company in the spring. Singer Chiara Tricarico was a live member of Avantasia and the record was produced by Sascha Paeth (Avantasia, etc.). Chiara also contributed to Manowar's Highlights From The Revenge Of Odysseus. The band began employing concert drummer Luca Setti (Trick Or Treat) as of 2024. The band was opening for Gloryhammer and also Gloryhammer and Visions Of Atlantis in the summer. There was also a stop at the Barcelona Rock Fest. Audience members could jump like rabbits during the song The Rabbit Of The Moon. Still, the band was booked for Metal Italia Festival next. Moonlight Haze was supporting Brothers Of Metal in the winter of 2026 followed by several festival dates in the spring. The astronomical theme was extended when the band released a new EP, called Interstellar Madness, through Scarlet Records on May 22nd 2026.
The act is poppy and should be approached with caution by hard rock or heavy metal fans.
Reviews MOONLIGHT HAZE - BEYOND - SCARLET 
This is predictably unmetal and sappy. Moreover, it is also predictably predictable. The singer and instrumentalists are tight, but the album’s main flaw is that it plays out exactly as you’d expect a pretender to from start to finish. After all, how original, inventive or even metal could yet another band with 'Moonlight' in its name be?
The album opens with a classical piano, accompanied by melodious female vocals that swell to an almost operatic range. It is all oh so delicate, soft, charged and… decidedly un-metal.. The whispers, the delicate clank of the piano, the melodious ode to moonlight so profound lead to the first full song. Since the track Beyond is essentially an intro, it lulls us into a false sense of expectation that the rest of the songs will be more uplifting, energetic, and hopefully more metal. Tame The Storm is indeed more upbeat and uptempo. D.N.A. has a folksy melody. The frontwoman has an impressive range and the men around her are no slouches either. Still, above all, this is a band playing music made for the masses with multiple vocal channels, routinely distorted guitars and the simplest drumming possible. Searching for the positive, aside from the vocalist's impressive range, there is the intrepid soloing and the album's clear production. It all adds up to an album that is quite safe, mainstream, catchy and honestly monotonous. This is pop music barely in disguise.
