History & Biography Moonshade signed with Art Gates Records in the summer of 2018. The debut Sun Dethroned was released through Art Gates Records worldwide on October 26th. Formed in 2010, the Portugal-based quintet has performed at festivals such as Vagos Open Air and Pax Julia Metal Fest with two demos in its repertoire. Sandro Rodrigues left in 2019. The Eventide Sessions (Live At Moonshade's Headquarters) was a 2021 demo. Daniel Laureano left in 2020.
Luís Dias joined on guitar and Fernando Maia joined on drums. Both were in Phase Transition. Moonshade, which was previously on Art Gates Records, had a demo called As We Set The Skies Ablaze on July 22nd 2022. There was a single called Epitaph. The band was compared to In Flames and Arch Enemy. The group played several concerts in 2022 and twice in 2023.
