History & Biography
The side project was founded in 2020 and released a thrashy album called Ov Mournful Twilight in 2022. Land Phil had brought Municipal Waste drummer Dave Witte into the fold - either that or Witte was in every act possible. Quotidius and Mathias "Vreth" Lillmåns were on vocals. They both left, but the latter returned in 2025. Guitarist Toby Swope (Psychosomatic) came and went. The band was featured at the Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest 2023 and its follow-up in 2024. The scene approved title Ov Mournful Twilight: Live In Chicago 2023 was next. It was issued in 2024. Side-project Morbikon, featuring members of Municipal Waste and Finntroll, had a full-length called Lost Within The Astral Crypts through Tankcrimes on November 21st 2025.

The band's monicker was inspired by the band Morbid, which featured future Mayhem singer Dead at one point.
