History & Biography
The black/death metal band was founded in 1993 in California, but would later end up in Texas. There was a 1993 demo and a 1994 one called Santisima Muerte. Drummer Yegros died in 1995 and the band went into hiatus for three years. Morbosidad’s Corona De Epidemia was available on CD in 2018. This edition featured a different cover than the 2017 LP. The release was through Nuclear War Now! The same label had re-released the self-titled debut several times. A Morbosidad/X.E.S. split appeared through Nuclear War Now in 2001. Many limited edition and split releases followed. Goat Destroyer died in 2009. Absu announced the cancellation of its set at Chaos In Tejas in 2012 where it was being supported by Terrorism, Loss, Morbosidad, Ares Kingdom and Black Witchery. The two live albums of 2012 and 2013 were recorded at different venues in Hungary. Singer Tomas Stench remains the sole original member. Otherwise, members come and members go. Ded Newman joined in 2016.
