History & Biography
The solo act was founded by Count Sathanyr (Thomas Eriksen) in 2004 and released a demo called Rota Til Ondskap ('The Root Of Evil') in 2007. The man cited Darkthrone as an inspiration. A follow-up demo, called Isebakke, only arrived in 2013. Canada's HSP Productions released a self-cover version EP called Fortid Og Fremtid. There was another one of those, called I Sluket Av Myra, in that year as well. The band debuted live in Olsztyn, Poland in January 2015. The Canadian concern released the band's debut album next. It was called Den Vandrende Skygge. This recording contained a guest appearance by Nocturno Culto (Darkthrone). The main man was also playing live with death metal band Befouled at this time. The act appeared at Inferno Metal Festival, in Oslo, and toured Canada.

The act signed with Peaceville and released Eremittens Dal and Det Svarte Juv next. Mork appeared at the Chimera Dark Night Festival in Prague, Czech Republic. The group also flew to the USA. Alexander Myrholt left the line-up to become busy with his own solo project. The 2020 EP Pesta continued the band's tradition of black and white artwork. This one was a couple of live tracks and a Burzum cover version. An appearance at Wacken was cancelled owing to the pandemic. The man took the opportunity to launch a periodic podcast. Still, a Wacken appearance occurred two years later. A new full-length was released in 2021. As what fast was becoming a costume with Mork, next was an EP with live tunes, etc. This one was given the name Den Svevende Festning.

Norwegian black metal band Mork recruited drummer Asgeir Mickelson (ex-Borknagar, ex-Ihsahn, ex-Sarke, etc.) as a replacement for Daniel Minge in 2025. Daniel had been playing live for the band for the previous eight years. Asgeir was to join Mork main man Thomas’ side project, Udåd, when he was recruited into Mork as well. Udåd, Mork, Emperor, etc. are all managed by Photograve Management.

Mørk means 'darkness' in Norwegian. The band utilises concert musicians.
