History & Biography A crime-ridden corner of Paris called Argenteuil is the backdrop for the frenzied speed metal band Morsüre (or 'bite' in English), which was formed in 1981 at the members' school. Eric and Franck were childhood friends. Arnaud was on guitar and Pascal was singing. Pascal, however, soon dies. Thierry was a temporary guitarist. Singer Didier Le Serrec, bassist Eric Serra and drummer Franck issued a demo, called M.A.D., in 1984 containing the track Morsüre. This lead to a contract with Devil's records, which issued the band's bombastic only album in 1985. The album was well promoted in the underground and the French metal press. Enfer magazine included the band on its Bonjour L'enfer sampler alongside Vulcain, Killers, ADX and others. Loran Laurent was now on guitar. The track Vreder Strack was even influenced by the Kubrick film, A Clockwork Orange. The album and demo were packaged together and reissued in 2007 by Nunslaughter Records.
Obsession was a jazzy hard rock concoction. The umlaut on the 'u' was influenced by Motörhead.
