History & Biography Formed as Mortuary in the year 1995 in Berlikum, the Dutch thrash act changed its name three years later to avoid its namesakes. Johannes joined in 1997 taking over the vocals from Arnout. I.O.D. stood for Image Of Death, which is a track from the band. Douwe joined in the summer of 1999. The group opened for Cannibal Corpse in 2000. Promo 2001 was issued in the summer of that year and featured two songs. The group next issued a full-length called Distorted Massacre: Fear The Madness. The record’s release was delayed by a full year. Second guitarist Kooistra and drummer Talma were new to the band. The band appeared at the Dokk 'Em Open Air, a Dutch festival. Johannes left the band, but would return some six months later. A 2004 demo, called Damnation, later and the band called it quits. Martin Van Drunen of Pestilence was on the track The Bonehunt. The group also opened for Belphegor.
