History & Biography
The band introduced itself in 2017. Penny Smitten was the alias for the female protagonist. The act released a demo called The Settling Fire upon Us in 2018. Dust Fire Dust followed in 2023. Mexico-based black metal band Muerto re-signed with Transcending Obscurity Records in late 2025 and announced it would release an album in 2026. A song called Serpentine Echoes was available immediately. The band continued gigging and Penny had taken over the bass now.
