History & Biography
The band was founded by Steph and Vincent in 2002. Guitarist Paul joined later. The group was heard on the Face Your Underground III sampler. Beneath The Hidden demo came out in 2006. Katrijn left in late 2008. Broken Leaf was released on the Russian doom metal label Solitude Productions in 2009. The group appeared at the Vlamrock and Dutch Doom Days festivals. My Lament was chosen to be part of Heaven And Hell (2010), a contemporary music production inspired by the poetry of William Blake.

The group hired vocalist Xavier to incorporate melodic singing and grunts on the Sorrow EP (2015) replacing vocalist Bert De Vissche. However, for the following tour in Germany and the Czech Republic, they decided to continue as a four-piece band, with Robrecht combining vocals and guitar.

Belgian death-doom metallers My Lament signed to Ardua Music in 2023 for the release of their first full-length in over a decade. The Season Came Undone was out on September 22nd. Concerts included one with Marche Funèbre.

Stephanie is a trans lawyer and came out publicly in 2019.
