History & Biography
The pseudo-industrial band was formed as Sewer Disgust in 1991, became Sabazios in late 1992 before going Mysticum on itself in 1993. That year brought a demo called Medusa's Tears. The group was supposed to issue an album, called Where The Raven Flies, with Euronymous’ DSP label before that man’s demise. A split with Ulver was next. Hellhammer from Mayhem was in the band in 1995, but did not last. The act appeared in a compilation called Nordic Metal - A Tribute To Euronymous. The group reverted to a drum machine with Hellhammer having not recorded with the other three. The trio worked on a demo in advance of its album and released it as Piss Off!!!

American label Full Moon issued the band’s debut. The group toured Europe with Marduk and Gehenna. The band went silent and eventually on hiatus in 2002 before showing up again in 2011. Album number two came out in 2014 through Peaceville. This album’s release was delayed a couple of years and much of the material was older. The group played Oslo’s Inferno Festival in 2016. Never Stop The Madness: The Roadburn Inferno was a live CD and DVD in 2018 recorded in 2017. Ironically, activities ceased then. The band was booked for Brutal Assault 2022, Samhain 2023, Steelfest Open Air in 2024, Mystic Festival 2024 and Stige Festival 2024.
