History & Biography
Naevus was a doom metal band based out of Baden-Württemberg between 1991 and 1999. The act threw in the towel, in tandem with bassist Sven Hartmann's departure, but chained to rules, conventions and trends returned in 2012. Early demos were the death/doom Quixotic Dreams (1993), A Sad Illusion (1994), Autumn Sun (1996) and The Wizard's Universe (1997). Rise Above Records signed the band and released the debut album Sun Meditation, which contained several demo tracks.

During its absence, the compilation Demos & Unreleased 1993-1999 was something that the band itself pressed in 2009. The returning group's album was called Heavy Burden. Sven Heimerdinger was the bassist now. The band was also booked for Doom Shall Rise VIII in 2013. The act was billed for Hammer Of Doom XII in 2017. Germany-based doom metal band Naevus has a record called Back Home through Dying Victim Productions. The band's previous release was in 2016. The group was booked for the Doom In Bloom 2026.
