History & Biography This Florida-based grinding gore metal band was formed in 2005 and broke up in 2008. The band was formed when concert promoter Fortier asked that an earlier project he had set up with Wilkes to include Young and play a show called Grindathon.
The band’s sole EP was in 2006 and called From The Bowels Of The Impaled. An imprint of the Brutal Bands label issued it. A Promo 2007 was also issued. As of November 2006, Daniel Gonzalez of Possessed and Gruesome also joined the act.
The band opened for acts like Suffocation, Origin, Vital Remains, Incantation and Despised Icon.

While some lesser bands are busy being Nailed or Nailed Within out there this Daytona Beach combo takes the matter to a whole new level by being Nailshitter. With suitably extreme song deformations like Gastric Impalement, Boiled In Gore and As Maggots Pour From Her Ass as its arsenal the five death metal category killers assault sense and sensibility with a mixture ultra-gruff growls, thick blasting and semi-technical guitar explosions with which fellow brutal acts like Skinless and Deaden have rampaged through the scene. This EP is short and concise and not the best value for money, but perhaps congruently all the more impressive given how it is basically the initial demo of a young group formed by Wound Channel members.
