History & Biography
The band was first founded as Nightshade in 1998 before changing its name to The Nightshade. The band was named after Summoning’s 1997 EP, Nightshade Forests. Influenced by Samael, the act incorporated keyboards. That act became Xicon in 2006 before splitting up in 2013. The traditional reformation, however, was again under the name Nightshade as of 2020.

Nightshade had a 2020 demo called Andromeda's Heart. The group was singer Dave, guitarist Tom and bassist Al. Galaxies was the name for the 2000 demo. Nightshade adopted a new logo and released a demo called Nebula Trance in 2001. The band also released its own live full-length video called Trance Mission. Finally, there was a 2003 demo called Wired and a 2004 demo entitled Elektribe, which went unreleased. There were gigs in Switzerland and a live appearance on Swiss TV in 2004.

The return gave the world an album called Sounds Of Dark Matter in 2021. The band was composed of singer David and guitarist and bassist Tom. The Switzerland contribution to the universe of Nightshades, had an album called In Essence Divided, through My Kingdom Music on 20.02.2026. There was a video for the song Dissonant Void.
