History & Biography
The black metal band was active between 1996 and 2004 and again from 2021 in Turku. Despite the tenure, output has been meagre even when the group was together officially. Demo 1997 featured singer Malice, guitarists Focalor and Wraith, bass player Storm, drummer Beleth and, the act being Finnish, keyboardist DuchessMary. The Ad Noctvm single of 1999 recycled a song from the demo and was released through Northern Heritage. Sound Riot Records released the band's debut album in 2001. The End Of Christianity obviously got it wrong and, because it was basically a compilation, featured both old songs, like The Almighty Andras, and new ones like Almighty Andras (The Return Of...). Serpent left in 2021 and was replaced by Scorngrain's Mika Packalen. The new line-up attempted to release an album, but the group fell apart regardless. Beleth was in and out of a bunch of projects.

The act returned and played at the Turku Saatanalle IX Festival. The 2023 demo Lions was distributed by Purity Through Fire. The returning act was singer Serpent, Jackal and A.K. (replacing guitarist Hatakka who had not stayed) on guitar, Warlord on bass and mainstay drummer Beleth. Death From The North contained the demo songs. Keyboardist L. Sallinen joined in 2022.

Finland-based veteran black metal band Nightside signed with Osmose Productions in late 2025. The band's 2024 album was released through Purity Through Fire.

Emperor's In The Nightside Eclipse album is popular and was released in 1994. Another band called Nightside was founded around the same time as this group in Italy.
