History & Biography
Nocturnus AD is the follow-up band to Nocturnus featuring drummer and singer Mike Browning. It is also the follow-up to After Death having picked up that band’s members. The band was first founded in 1999 before quickly changing names to After Death and reverting to Nocturnus AD in 2013. The new incarnation was again a whole new band line-up-wise. Nocturnus AD was booked for the Maryland Deathfest in 2014.

Early members included former Nocturnus personnel Bassist Richard Bateman (dead in 2018) and Gino Marino (dead in 2017).

Chile On Fire 07/05/16 was a long-form video released in 2017. Profound Lore signed the band and issued a full-length album in 2019. The band, Nasty Savage and others played the Santiago Metal Festival in Chile in 2019. The band was silent during the pandemic, and a show at Party.San was cancelled, but returned to play local shows and Maryland Deathfest in 2022. The band had been writing new music.

Nocturnus AD release a new album, entitled Unicursal, through Profound Lore Records in May 2024. There was a video for the song CephaloGod. The band was Mike Browning (vocals and drums), Belial Koblak and Demian Heftel (guitars), Apeiron Bound's Kyle Sokol (bass although Daniel Tucker was heard on the album) and Josh Holdren (keyboards).
