History & Biography
The band was founded in 2024 and was joined by drummer Felix Wahlund in 2025. Sweden-based “symphonic/melodic death metal band” Northborn was working on a self-titled debut album, already in full production, for Art Gates Records in early 2026. The keyboard laden band featured membership from Havamal, which was also signed to the label. Northborn, like Havamal, also had folk influences. Recorded independently in the members’ home studios, the album was mixed by Tobey Lagerqvist, mastered at "The Pit of Musical Madness” and produced by Harri Silva. There was a video for the song The Wolf’s Curse. There was a video for the song Yokai Of The Lake, which had the band jumping on the Japanese bandwagon the scene with which the scene was enamoured.
