History & Biography
Noumena has as low a profile as can be for a band that has been around since 1998! Multiple members came from the thrash metal act Inferion. Several demos came quickly. These had names like Aeons, For The Fragile One and Promo 2000. The band announced signing with a Singaporean label, but the label bit the dust without anything happening. A few demo tracks appeared on the group's debut album Pride/Fall, which arrived in 2002. The band was singer Antti Haapanen, guitarists Hannu Savolainen (and on bass), Tuukka Tuomela and Ville Lamminaho and drummer Ilkka Unnbom. The guest female vocalist was Hanna Leinonen. Absence landed on Spikefarm. Death Walks With Me arrived over six years after its predecessor. Female singer Suvi Uura appeared here. Markus Hirvonen was on keyboards, guitar and vocals next. The band's imprint reissued the earlier albums. The band, Turisas and Beast In Black were booked for Japan in 2018. The band was booked for China in 2019, 2024 and again in 2026.

Finland-based K&F band Noumena has an album called Maanääri through its own imprint, Haunted Zoo Productions. There was a video for the song Tyhjyys.

In a world of transient tourists who treat bands like they do a fast food parlour's table, this band has not shed any members over the years. The band's monicker came from 'noumenon,' a philosophical term used by Immanuel Kant. It refers to a thing as it exists in itself; independent of how others perceive or experience it from outside.
