History & Biography N.Y. FURY was a USA-based band formed in the NY/NJ Tri-State Area by bassist Gene Hunter in 1980. The band is said to have had its debut concert at a 1,000-seat venue and to have been the first metal band to perform on the USS Intrepid. This was years before Kiss and Twisted Sister used the USS Intrepid to launch their reunion tours. The band played in New Jersey with Skid Row and played Puerto Rico’s Ruben Rodriguez Arena. Furthermore, the band remembers offering $10,000 to obtain the opening slot for one of its favourite bands, but was turned down due to N.Y. Fury’s buzz and fandom. The bassist and drummer are brothers.
Eonian Records released N.Y. Fury's I Want It All CD and Vinyl on 30.12.2022. It featured an unreleased track, guitar pick, poster and more.
