History & Biography
The blackened act was called Skuggsjá between 2013 and 2016. The name translated to 'reflection' in old Icelandic. The group reported it paid "homage to their grim and icy Scandinavian antecedents." A self-titled demo with two tracks arrived in 2016. Dark Essence Records released the band's debut full-length four years later. There was a video for the song Orsök. The group was billed at Summer Breeze in 2022. Völd was the new album and was released in late 2023. Davíð Þór left and guitarist Birkir joined. Bassit Kári Pálsson was helping out live. Ieland's own show, called Ascension Festival, booked the band in 2024.

Denmark-based Sunken would embark on a tour of Europe with Iffernet, Friisk, Ultima Necat, Nyrst and Loth at the end of 2025.
