History & Biography
The band considers itself black metal, but is based in a city called Christchurch and sings of Celtic mythology and traditions. The monicker was inspired by Darkthrone who also had a song called The Hardship Of The Scots in 2019. The act was founded by Harrison McKenzie in Scotland in 2020 and uploaded a song called An Torr in 2021. The debut album was released in February of 2022. The title referred to the Great Hunger that hit Ireland in the 19th century. Quentin Forster joined in 2022. Zannibal joined in 2024. New Zealand-based black metal band Olde Throne had an album called Megalith on November 21st, 2025. McKezie had joined Germ as a live member as of 2025.
