History & Biography One of nine refers to one of the nine Nazgûl, also known as Ringwraiths in Tolkien's profound lore of The Lord Of The Rings. The USA-based act One Of Nine had an album, Dawn Of The Iron Shadow, through Profound Lore Records on 31.10.2025. The band was described as “melodic black metal," but was in fact not black metal. Hulder's Marz made a guest appearance. The artwork was illustrated by Ted Nasmith who had worked on book covers of Tolkien's work.
The act was founded in 2022 and released a full-length in 2023. The debut's music was also deployed to Winds Of Autumnal Sorrow, which was a split with Hulder in late 2023.
