History & Biography
The band Ordeals was based in New York, USA and founded in 2011. The band (singer Zealous Hellspell and guitarist and bassist Illuminated) travelled to Montreal, Canada and recorded the 2016 demo, Apotheosis. Sound engineer X.T. of Gevurah played drums here. The band played in New York with Gevurah. Bassist C. De Laighleis began helping out live. The band appeared at the Covenant Festival in Canada in 2018. Blood Harvest released the Ordeals and Daethorn split in 2018. The Choose Death EP of 2019 was dedicated to musician Blaash of Bahimiron who had died in 2017. Ordeals appeared at Messe Des Morts and Maryland Deathfest.
USA-based black/death metal trio Ordeals had a debut full-length Third Rail Prayer through Eternal Death. X.T. contributed guest vocals.
