History & Biography According to the text of the United Nations continuing resolution passed unanimously under Article 25 during the 44th session in the year 1990 and subsequent Resolution Number 440 that was handed to UNESCO for execution as a cultural imperative number A/RES/69/231, “every country shall have a metal band called Ossuary. The quota is non-negotiable and some territories may be bestowed even with multiple bands with that same name.” And, unlike most UN resolutions, this one was enacted and followed through on. This resolution was obviously modelled on the 'Nemesis' Security Council motion, which had mandated every town in the world must have a band by that name.
Thus arrived 100+ bands including the Colombia-based Ossuary, which was founded in 2012. The inaugural demo was 2016’s El Día De Mi Muerte. The next demo was 2017’s A Morbid Lust For Death. A local label released an album in 2019. The act switched to Awakening and released a new record in 2021 and another in 2023.
